THE S.S. PRINZESSIN VICTORIA LUISE
THE ARRIVAL OF THE FIRST CRUISE SHIP

The “S.S. Prinzessin Victoria Luise” left on her maiden voyage on 5 January 1901 from Hamburg, stopping at Boulogne, Plymouth, and finally reaching New York on 17 January. She departed New York to the West Indies for her first cruise on 26 January. In February she reached the harbor of Curaçao with 200 passengers on board.

The S.S. Prinzessin Victoria Luise was launched on 29 June 1900.
